Vittoria Ceretti offered a rare insight into what it’s like dating Leonardo DiCaprio and it seems like it’s not as easy as it might seem.
The 26-year-old Italian model made the rare comment in a new cover story for Vogue France’s April 2025 issue, which has been translated from French. Though her 50-year-old Oscar-winning boyfriend is not mentioned by name, he is referenced to as a “very, very famous actor” by the outlet. And, according to Ceretti, dating someone “very, very famous” has its drawbacks.

“As soon as you’re in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become ‘girlfriend of’—or ‘boyfriend of,’ for that matter. And that can be extremely annoying,” Ceretti said when asked if dating someone as well-known as DiCaprio can have negative impacts on someone’s career.
“Suddenly, people are talking about you as so-and-so’s girlfriend who was so-and-so’s ex. So it’s not nice to think that you can’t love whoever you want, because of the labels people need to stick on you.”
Ceretti, who started dating DiCaprio in 2023, added that being in love helps drown out the noise of the outside world. “It’s something you learn. If what you’re experiencing is real, if you know you love each other, then there’s no reason to be alarmed. Because love protects and gives confidence,” she explained.
Elsewhere in the interview, Ceretti revealed that she and DiCaprio met in Milan but added, “I prefer not to go into details.” She was also asked whether she had seen Titanic to which she responded, “Who hasn’t seen it? Or didn’t like it? It’s an iconic film…”
Ceretti and DiCaprio first sparked dating rumors when they were photographed getting coffee together in Santa Barbara, California and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
