Matt Damon looked nearly unrecognizable as he flaunted his ripped body on the set of Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming film “The Odyssey.”
Photos obtained by Page Six showed the actor filming scenes with his muscles on full display on the shore of Favignana Island in Italy Tuesday.
A shirtless Damon sported a long gray beard and brown pants while in character as Odysseus.
Damon, 54, was seen standing with Nolan as they prepared to roll.
In between takes, the Oscar winner tossed on a black puffer jacket to keep warm.
He also relaxed on the shore as crew members set up the cameras for the next shots.
A rep for the actor did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on the photos.
Damon was later joined on set by his co-star Zendaya.
The “Euphoria” star, 28, donned a long toga-like dress and appeared in good spirits while chatting with the crew.
Her hair was pulled back into a braided hairstyle with a middle part.
The fantasy epic based on Homer’s famed Greek poem also stars Zendaya’s fiancé, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron and Lupita Nyong’o.
Damon, meanwhile, sported his bearded look earlier this month when he showed his support for pal Ben Affleck at the “Accountant 2” premiere at the SXSW festival.
At the time, an eyewitness told Page Six that the “Jason Bourne” star arrived separately from Affleck, but still walked the carpet and posed for photos with his frequent collaborator.
Affleck may repay the favor soon as the “Gone Girl” actor told GQ that he wants to “go visit Matt on the set [of ‘The Odyssey’] just to watch Nolan direct.”
Affleck also noted that Damon’s role in the upcoming film has required “a lot of stunt rehearsal.”
“You really have to go learn the fights. This is ‘Bourne Identity’ kind of territory,” Affleck teased.
This wouldn’t be the first time Damon has gone above and beyond for a role.
Page Six exclusively revealed that Damon was set on fire for one of his stunts as race car driver Carroll Shelby in 2019’s “Ford v. Ferrari.”
