Man Utd star taken off on stretcher as Ruben Amorim injury crisis worsens

Manchester United’s young defender, Ayden Heaven, was forced off on a stretcher after sustaining an injury during the Premier League clash against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The teenager, who arrived from Arsenal midway through the season, has been making his mark in the squad. He was handed his first senior start in the Europa League against Real Sociedad, stepping up amid an injury crisis in the United defence. However, his own campaign took an unfortunate turn early in the second half against Leicester.

Heaven collapsed after ushering the ball out of play and immediately signalled for medical attention. With United already missing key defenders including Leny Yoro, Jonny Evans, Luke Shaw, and Harry Maguire manager Ruben Amorim had no senior centre-backs available on the bench. Midfielder Toby Collyer was called upon to fill in, highlighting the depth concerns facing the team.

The extent of Heaven’s injury is yet to be confirmed, but his absence would add to United’s growing defensive worries as they navigate a demanding schedule.
