Deborra-Lee Furness is trying to move on from her divorce from Hugh Jackman two years after their split.
A source told Us Weekly that the 69-year-old actress is healing from her September 2023 divorce by immersing herself in her friend group and finding distractions amid Jackman’s romance with Sutton Foster.
“Deb is currently rebuilding her life and taking a vacation to Bhutan to start fresh and get away from the pain,” a source told Us Weekly. “She’s relied on a strong support system of female friends. She also spends time with other women who’ve been through similar situations who offer her unwavering support.”

Jackman and Furness, who had been married for 26 years before announcing their split, share son Oscar and daughter Ava whom they adopted in 2000 and 2005, respectively.
“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” they wrote in a joint statement at the time of their split, declining to give further details. “We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
A year after Jackman and Furness split, sources claimed that their breakup was caused by Jackman having an affair with Foster while appearing in Music Man on Broadway together back in 2022. Foster filed for divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin, in October 2024.
While Foster and Jackman have avoided addressing affair rumors, the pair has appeared together in public as a couple several times since January.
However, sources have also alleged that Jackman wants to work on building a friendship with his ex-wife. “Hugh still has a lot of love for Deb. He had three decades with her and doesn’t want to lose her as a friend so he’s ready and willing to do whatever he can to make peace and create a new chapter of their relationship,” a Closer Weekly insider claimed in January.
Furness, however, has been doing her own thing and made her return to acting with Force of Nature: The Dry 2 in 2024 alongside Eric Bana.
