Not all politicians are the same. Some care more about getting votes, while others focus on helping people. In Kanungu, one person stands out for his kindness: Afande Ndungutse John.
A friend recently sent me a flyer about a free medical camp happening in Kanungu. I wanted to know more, so I did some research and found out that Ndungutse John was behind it. That reminded me of a time when I saw his kindness firsthand.
When I was planning the Technology and Robotics Bootcamp in Kanungu, we ran out of money. We asked different politicians for help, and Ndungutse John supported us without asking for anything in return.
Unlike the other politicians we contacted, he did not care about how many people would attend to boost his popularity. Instead, he cared about the impact the camp would have on young people in Kanungu.
Many politicians only help when they think it will get them votes. But Ndungutse is different. He helps because he truly cares about his community.
Even if he does not win the election, his kindness and good deeds will always be remembered. True leaders do not just make big promises. They take real action to create and deliver value.
