What’s your sure-fire way to keep track of the changing seasons? For some, it’s all about which clothes to switch out when the weather changes, from winter sweaters to spring sun dresses. For others, the urge to seasonally clean and change up home decor is the biggest signifier. But for us? We track the seasons with our taste buds, and there’s no bigger signifier that winter is over and spring is officially here than the goodies flooding the aisles of Trader Joe’s. Trader Joe’s spring desserts, including some seasonal mini sheet cake flavors, are popping back up on store shelves, and there’s more to come.
Instagrammer TraderJoesTalia shared that Trader Joe’s Lemon Mini Sheet Cakes are back in stock. TJ’s mini sheet cakes are one of our favorite quick and easy desserts to bring over to a friend’s house or to keep on hand as a special snack whenever we’re craving something sweet, and the tangy lemon flavor with smooth cream cheese frosting tastes just like spring sunshine. Instagram user TraderJoesObsessed shared that joining the lemon mini sheet cakes, which cost $5.49, are Glazed Sweet Lemon Scones for $4.49, and we spotted some new Lemon Poppy Seed Buns for $4.49, too.
But lemon isn’t the only spring flavor at Trader Joe’s. They’re also selling frosted mini carrot cakes for $5.99, and rumor has it that the cult-favorite Trader Joe’s carrot cake mini sheet cake should be back in stores this April (closer to Easter, which falls on April 20 this year).
Those are just some of the Trader Joe’s spring baked goods we can’t stop drooling over, but they have more spring sweets in stock, too. This year TJ’s is selling decorated Easter Joe-Joe’s cookies that are coated in chocolate and sprinkles, a sprinkle-covered milk chocolate bunny bar, and a break apart chocolate bunny filled with carrot-shaped gummy candies. They’re also selling grownup-approved Italian chocolate mini eggs that we have a feeling somehow won’t make it into the kids’ Easter baskets.
So sure, you can keep looking at your calendar to figure out when the seasons change. But as for us? A trip to Trader Joe’s usually tells us all we need to know.
